The MSE-LP600 Digital Optical Position Looper Scanner's electronic circuitry is packaged in a robust cast aluminum housing. The housing includes a large water cooled chamber which is separated from the electronic circuitry compartment. Water passes though sealed water coolant radiator that is located inside of this chamber thus cooling the cast aluminum housing and cooling the electronic circuitry. In lieu of using water for cooling, air can connected and cooled with the use of an in-line vortex tube air cooler. An air inlet is fitted in the front nozzle of the cast aluminum housing for air purging and the is vented out the front of the nozzle in front of the lens.
